An emerald of the same size can cost from a few hundred crowns to many tens (hundreds) of thousands of dollars per piece. It depends mainly on the color, clarity, quality of cut and in the case of emeralds the aforementioned place of origin! On the imaginary ladder of beauty and quality, stones from Colombia are at the top. For example, a few carat emerald of average quality from Zambia or Brazil often falls short of the price of a miniature Colombian emerald of medium quality.

- green (vivid green) - clean to the naked eye, high luster, size up to 0.5 carats
2,000 - 5,000 Euro/carat
- light green (light, medium), perfect cut and clarity, excellent luster, larger size from 2 carats and up;
- dark green or so-called vivid green; alpen green: good luster, minimal visible inclusions/flaws; very high-quality stone — especially for jewelry; in some cases with investment potential! Usually up to 2 carats, rarely up to 3 carats

- beautiful top deep green (Muzo) color (captivating, full of energy) or the so-called "deep bluish green" shade;
